OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE…

Young Adults CAPA Service Event
Dinner and Pumpkin Carving
Tonight
5 pm
All young adults are invited to gather to serve dinner and carve pumpkins and paint with youth from CAPA. We will serve a taco bar. Please contact Kristen Ferguson to volunteer to provide part of dinner. Families are welcome to bring elementary-aged children (and younger). Middle and high school aged children cannot attend to protect the privacy of the youth at CAPA.

The Giving
St. John’s is joining area churches in collecting food for HELP of Beaufort’s annual Thanksgiving dinners. Our goal is 920 boxes of mashed and scalloped potatoes. Donations can be left in the Narthex outside of the Nursery. Deadline for donations will be November 15th.

Lowcountry Pride Festival

11 am – 5 pm
Living out our core value “All are welcome and valued, with no exceptions”, we will be participating in the year’s Lowcountry Pride Festival. We are still in need of a tent and volunteers. Contact the church office.

Oktoberfest
Today
Our annual Oktoberfest celebration will take place immediately following the 10:30 service. Join us for brats, burgers, German inspired side dishes, and desserts.

Tuesday Nights Together
October 27
6 pm – 7 pm
Dinner starts at 6 pm- ham, mac n’ cheese, green beans, and carrots. Please bring bread or dessert to share. Program will begin at 6:30 pm.

Harold’s Country Club
Saturday, October 31
Arrival 6 pm Seating 6:30 pm
Wear your best costume and join us for an evening of Halloween fun at Harold’s! Your choice of a steak or chicken dinner. Cost is $27.50. Checks or cash along with the sign-up slip must be given to Pat Harvey Palmer or to the church office today.

All Saints Day
Sunday, November 1
The Roll of Saints is in the Narthex. Please add the names of loved ones who have passed away within the last year. The names will be read aloud next Sunday on All Saints Day.

Youth and Confirmation
Sunday, November 1
4 – 7 pm
There will be a Confirmation meeting in the Mission Building with Pastor Sean from 4 – 5 pm. Youth Night will follow immediately after.

Movie Night
Wednesday, November 4
6 pm
The Magic of Belle Isle will be playing on the “the big screen”. Bring a friend and a snack to share.

New Member Sunday

SC Synod Convocation
October 28-30
Lutheridge
Pastor Sean will gather with rostered leaders from around the state for a time of worship and renewal.
